SUMMARY: Familia Valdelana Crianza 2022 is an excellent representative of the Rioja region of Spain. This red wine is predominantly made from Tempranillo grapes, carefully selected from estate-owned vineyards. Juan Jesús, the winemaker, has been able to exploit the potential of the terroir and the most sincere expression of our landscape. On the nose, it stands out for its complex and elegant aromas, with notes of ripe red fruits, spices, vanilla and light touches of toast. ELABORATION: Under the skilled guidance of winemaker Juan Jesús, this wine captures the full potential of the terroir and expresses the purest form of the landscape’s identity. The harvest took place in the first week of October, with a cold pre-fermentation maceration that preserves the fresh fruit flavors. A peculiar spontaneous fermentation follows, allowing the wine to express its individuality and authenticity.
Malolactic fermentation occurs in French oak barrels, where it is aged for 6 months, followed by another 6 months in 225-litre American oak barrels, imparting a complex balance of fruit intensity, oak influence, and smoothness.

VISUAL PHASE: An intense and vibrant cherry red color, with great depth and brilliance, reflecting the wine's youth and concentration.

OLFACTORY PHASE: The nose reveals a beautifully balanced fruity character, with aromatic balsamic notes and hints of thyme, layered over a subtle cedarwood backdrop.
