SUMMARY: Leathers, plums, good brettanomyces and the fragrances of wood and old winery are some of the aromatic features of this exquisite Reserva, an impressive nose that perfectly reproduces those Riojas. On the palate, it only has to be said that it is pure and delicate poetry, with thick tannins and at the same time well melted, all suspended with a beautiful acidity that does not bother at all.

ELABORATION: This distinguished Reserva begins its journey with 30 months of careful aging in a harmonious combination of French and American oak barrels (50% each). The marriage of these two oak types creates perfect balance - French oak bestowing elegant structure and refined tannins, while American oak contributes warmth and subtle vanilla complexity.
The wine's journey continues with 12 months of initial bottle aging, followed by another year of preservation in our historic underground cellars. These remarkable 16th-century cellars, carved 14 meters deep into ashlar stone, maintain a constant natural temperature of 13°C throughout the year - providing perfect conditions for the wine's evolution. Within these ancient walls, the wine develops its final layers of complexity and refinement, emerging as a testament to both traditional winemaking wisdom and patient craftsmanship.

Begin by examining the wine in your glass. Observe its color - is it pale straw, golden, ruby, or deep purple? Notice its clarity - a clear, bright wine often signals quality. Swirl the glass gently, watching its transparency and how it catches the light. Each of these visual cues can hint at the wine’s age, grape variety, or even its origin!

Pay attention to the wine legs - the streaks that form on the inside of the glass after swirling. While they don’t indicate quality, they can reveal the wine’s alcohol and sugar content.
